The second Armed Forces Golf Match was played on Sunday, 5th September and was an opportunity for veterans from all three services to play Greensomes Matchplay against other Frinton Club members.

26 players, blessed with glorious weather, were introduced on the first tee by past captain and RAF veteran David Joshua.

The match went to the final hole with a win for the rest of Frinton Captained by Vince McAuley.

The match was the perfect opportunity to share stories, experiences and raise money for the Military Charity Building Heroes. The charity provides free skills training to service leavers and military veterans and support into employment in the building trades where the UK construction industry is facing a skill shortage.

Picture shows: Vince McAuley, Club Manager David Killick and Claire Guest, from Building Heroes Colchester
